  • More of my wire wrapping. Made with computer parts, gears, and home made clay. I made the foundation in Michigan before I left but did the wire wrapping here in Hollywood. Enjoy. One of a kind #wirewrappedjewelry #art #creative #pendant #fairy #fun #hollywood #craft #oneofakindjewelry
  • I have been busy here at my daughters in Hollywood. Here are some of my newest wire wrapping creations. I was given some gears from Don in Lancaster friend of my brother in-law Tom Pepaj. The gears are from cameras and clocks. The first photo the pendant is very large and yes heavy. I think it’s my favorite. Some of the pendants are made from computer parts and home made air dry clay. Enjoy. #pendant #creative #craft #travel #hollywood #computer #art
  • Here are the three pieces that I found in Slab City at the burned out camp. I wire wrapped them as carefully as I could to keep them in tack. In a previous post I explained how I found them in the condition of the burned out camp. Plus I talked about the woman that lived there. It was an amazing story and very heartfelt to me. I was anxious to wrap them into bring out the beauty in each shape. The fire blended the metal and glass creating a life of its own. Walk in peace, love, and joy. • While I was in Slab City, California I found in the burned out RV campfire site that I posted earlier some amazing pieces of glass mixed with metal from the fire. Here are 3 of them. From the tragedy of a fire it left some images of beauty. The woman I talked to say they don’t know if the said woman of this camp started the fire or it was an accident. What was left was burned out ashes and metal and glass all melted as one. Like I said in my last post I was Mesmerize by this site. I think if you look beyond and open your heart you can see beauty in everything. If the story is true and she walked out into the desert and passed away what an amazing story of a strong woman. It touched my heart as she lived her life her way. So many at Slab City are amazing people that live out in the desert with such perseverance for life. They stand for freedom, freedom to build a different kind of life. They are all from different types of life who just want to be free. Slab City is not pretty but it is a community who take care of each other. This is my 3 rd time there and this was one of the most amazing experience of the three. Eyes wide open as I watched different kind of life building a community that has heart. I raise my glass to Slab City and their community filled with music, creativity and blood sweat and tears. Slab City is not for the meek it’s for the strong. #slabcity #travel #california #fire
  • I stopped off in Slab City before I returned to Los Angeles and took a few photos of one campground in Slab City. I understand that a long term beloved member of the community RV burned in the middle of the night. She was 80 years old and everyone knew her. During the fire she walked out into the desert and peaceful passed away. This was very much like the American Indian tradition that when a member would fall sick they would walk off from the tribe and pass away not wanting to hold up the tribe. I was told this by a woman who stopped by to say hello to me. I meet some very interesting people at Slab City on this one day trip and wish to thank Tom for showing me around and introducing me to some amazing locals at Slab City. I was amazed at this blacken tree and the ashes as I went back and sat for hours burning sage and just feeling this particular area. I was drawn to it and it gave me peace. #slabcity #travel #california #rv
  • Yes, Not supposed to take photos while driving but I just had to. I was told it has been 30 year since it snowed in Lancaster, California. It snowed yesterday on Thanksgiving. I was in Los Angeles with my daughter and today I drive back to Lancaster and the landscape was glorious. So I took a photo or two. The first one was the freeway and the second was out in what was the desert as I drive by. Wow, it was truly spellbinding to view. Life is beautiful when you reach out and take a journey. I’m at the Pepaj Farm with such loving people. It makes you love life. I feel truly loved. #pepaj #farm #snow #family
  • My amazing brother in-law Paul Pepaj gave me this wonderful bottle of wine before he left California. So I’m celebrating my return to my daughter and family in Los Angeles and Lancaster. I left my family home in Michigan and returned on Tuesday to the Pepaj Farm. Took me 3 1/2 days to drive back to California with Ki. I’m back for the winter and wish to thank Tom Pepaj and his beautiful wife for the love they show me. Thank you Paul Pepaj for such amazing wine. I drink to Family... #pepaj #travel #love
  • Made it to Texas. The first day was a 15 hour drive with stopping and taking Ki out to walk. Ended up in Missouri I had a great nights sleep in my car. Except Ki decided he wanted to sleep with me. I woke up and started thinking oh my God I can’t move my legs. Well Ki was sound to sleep and had to wake him up. Today driove from 7 AM to 4:30 landed in Texas about 85 miles I’m off the 40. I was glad to take some photos. Loved the photo of Ki outside sitting in the chair. Good night all... #Texas #ki #travel #greyhairlady #car
